Our Story
Healing Isn’t Just What We Do — It’s What Led Us Here

At Ash to Ember, healing isn’t just our work — it’s our story.
We’ve both experienced firsthand how plant medicine, microdosing, and neuroplasticity can rebuild a life from the inside out.
Healing isn’t just about repairing the past — it’s about creating a future you never thought was possible.
Michael Huszar
Co-Founder | Plant Medicine Facilitator | Shamanic Practitioner | Reiki & Sound Healer

Michael’s work with plant medicine began from a place of necessity—a deep, personal call to heal. His own journey through trauma, loss, and disconnection led him to explore sacred medicines such as Ayahuasca, Psilocybin, and Iboga across multiple continents, participating in over 20 ceremonies with experienced master healers.

In addition to his ceremonial experience, Michael is trained in Reiki, Sound Healing, and Bio-Tuning, and brings a shamanic, earth-honouring approach to his facilitation. He integrates ancient plant medicine traditions with trauma-sensitive care, creating a grounded and safe environment for deep transformation.

Known for his calm, steady presence, Michael holds space in a way that is spacious, non-judgmental, and intuitively attuned to the emotional and energetic needs of those he serves. As one of the few male plant medicine facilitators in this space, he brings a vital perspective — offering strength, sensitivity, and embodied leadership to those navigating powerful inner work.

His path is rooted not only in training, but in lived experience — walking the path of healing himself, and now guiding others with integrity, humility, and respect for the sacred.
Brittney McLean
Co-Founder of Ash to Ember | Somatic Integration Practitioner | Trauma-Informed Guide | Spiritual Facilitator

Brittney McLean is a trauma-informed practitioner and co-founder of Ash to Ember, where she supports individuals through sacred plant medicine work, somatic healing, and spiritual reconnection. With a background in body-based therapies and nervous system regulation, she specializes in guiding others through integration before, during, and after ceremony.

Her own healing journey began in 2022 at a retreat in Costa Rica, where she first experienced the transformative power of plant medicine. A second ceremony in 2024, intended to address anxiety, led to a profound emotional release — one that sparked lasting behavioural change. Shortly after, Brittney began microdosing under the guidance of her partner and became a powerful case study in the effectiveness of intentional, supported psychedelic healing.

Brittney’s approach is informed by lived experience and professional education, including advanced training in the science of neuroplasticity and trauma recovery. She blends grounded, evidence-based insights with sacred ritual and somatic practice, creating a bridge between modern understanding and ancient wisdom.

As a mother, healer, and integration guide, Brittney walks with others through their most tender transformations — holding space for healing, growth, and lasting reconnection to self.
Why We Do This
We built Ash to Ember because we know what it’s like to struggle, to search, and to finally find real healing.

We also know that healing isn’t one-size-fits-all.

Some are called into ceremony right away. Others begin with microdosing, or simply by exploring the science behind neuroplasticity and plant medicine.

However you arrive — you belong here.

Healing isn’t just possible. It’s already unfolding.

We’re here to walk this path with you.
